Dallat O'Driscoll welcomes coastal erosion commitment
SDLP councillor for Causeway Coast and Glens, Helena Dallat O’Driscoll, has welcomed assurances from Edwin Poots, Minister for Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs that he will work collaboratively with the Department for Infrastructure to help address coastal erosion.
Following the Minister’s response to a written question tabled by her colleague SDLP MLA, John Dallat, asking the Minister for Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs what investment has been made to address coastal erosion in the Causeway Coast, the Minister said he was working with the Department for Infrastructure to address the issues. He also added that the Department had recently secured £104,000 from the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund to gather data on the state of coastal change and to establish a Coastal Change Assessment Partnership.
